The Chandler Limited RS124 Compressor is a recreation of one of the most coveted audio valve compressors of all time, the legendary EMI/Abbey Road RS124, reimagined for use in the modern studio environment.
First designed in 1960 by Abbey Road Head of Technical Bill Livy, Deputy Head Len Page and seasoned EMI Audio Designer Mike Bachelor, the Abbey Road RS124 compressor is one of the most coveted pieces of recording gear ever developed.
Born out of the inadequate Altec 436Bs acquired by EMI in the late 1950s for Abbey Road Studios, the RS124 compressor is most closely associated with recordings made by The Beatles at Abbey Road Studios. Present on virtually every Beatles session, the RS124 left its remarkable signature across most of the catalog.

The active R84A mic retains the same sonic character of the R84, but with an additional 12dB of output and a stable impedance. This gives a consistent frequency response and greater flexibility with different preamps, including those found in audio interfaces for personal computers. This is great for on-the-road musicians who might have to use a different preamp each night.

TK Audio releases BC1Ltd, 10 year anniversary bus compressor
To celebrate TK Audio’s 10 year anniversary we are releasing the BC1Ltd in a limited edition of 100 units. We added some user-requested features like the THD function and HPF frequency options from the BC501. But we didn’t stop there, we also added the new Grab setting. This adds a more obvious compression character in addition to the usual transparent mode that BC1 is famous for, perfect for the drum-bus.
The panel of the BC1Ltd is a sleek brushed anodized panel which gives an exclusive feeling and the units are individually numbered on the frontpanel.
