Some microphones have artificially-boosted high frequencies to make them sound bright and ‘airy’. However, this accentuates sibilant sounds, and can lead to a very harsh and unpleasant result. The STC-2 has a very smooth high frequency roll-off, ensuring a more natural presence to your recordings.

The STC-2’s low-cut filter and –10dB pad switches will further help you get the best from your recording, making this microphone a really flexible all-round tool for your studio.

A ‘spider’ suspension mount is also provided, which helps to isolate the sensitive microphone from any transient noises travelling through the microphone stand.
