Vintage Design - M87D

Vintagedesign M87D replaces the M81Dmk2! M87D features the same class-A output-stage and transformer as found in Vintagedesign’s 19" units and M73D. The input-stage is an updated version of the stage found in the M81R and M581 which has a little more modern and open sound than the M73D.

The gainswitch has 11 positions and a gainrange from 0dB to 50dB gain or 50dB to 80dB with the +30dB switch active. An all new function is the "AIR" switch which boosts the high frequencies for a more "open" sound. The instrument input features a high-impedance FET input that feeds the input-transformer via a class-A driver stage, Same circuit as in the DMP and CA-. Finally it has the same typ of headroom-meter as the DMP and CA-units.
