With the new 1046, they took the already excellent 1066, decided that if 2 channels of compression were good, then 4 channels of compression would be even better. With the dbx 1046 you get 4 independent channels of operation, stereo linkable in two pairs, and PeakStopPlus limiting control for setting maximum allowable level regardless of compressor settings. the dbx 1046 gives you twice as much of everything that was in the 1066 - but in the same size package, and NOT at twice the price!

It allows for stereo or independant two-channel operation.

DBX 1074 - QuadGate. The 704 outboard A/D converter uses dbx's patent-pending Type IV conversion system, with the equivalent performance of a 27-bit system. The 704 also features numerous word reduction and noise shaping options, and is the only product on the market to offer user-definable noise shaping. A choice of 8, 16, 20 or 24 bit output is offered, and outputs can be dithered and noise shaped using one of the many predefined curves or via user-defined settings.

DBX 120A - Subharmonic Synthesizers. Why just rock the house when you can rattle the foundation loose. The wildy popular beat of "House Music" is likely to be driven by the throbbing, low-end bass of dbx Subharmonic Synthesizers in clubs around the world.

Advanced gate circuitry uses new timing algorithms so release characteristics are smooth and natural - no awkward cut-offs or abrupt closings, even with complex signals. A comprehensive list of features, from stereo or dual-mono operation to the 166XL's ability to use hard knee or OverEasy compression algorithms, make the 166XL the dynamics processor of choice for recording artists and musicians ready to take their audio to the next level. Superior sound and precision performance from the company that knows dynamics processors!

DBX 266XL - Compressor/gate.The 266XL Dual Compressor Gate breaks it down to the essentials. Square lighted switches let you see it in the dark, but that's about it as flashy as it gets.
